The strategy this brief serves sits one tab left (Campaign brief); every asset below renders in situ on the Live walkthrough tab. The briefing round opens after Gate 1: nothing here is in build.
The problem. After months of silence, a customer owes us nothing. We get two knocks, one door, one goodbye and one anniversary. What should each say so that coming back feels like their idea?
The split. We hold the frame: moment, band, trigger, channels, sequence and measurement. You own the experience and the words within the constraints: never we-miss-you, never a day-count, every comparison substantiated, the word cheaper never appears.
Across them, roughly twelve copy versions: the first knock's three registers on two channels, the comparison pair, the door card's two data states, the goodbye and the anniversary. A missing figure falls to the designed fallback, never a broken merge field.
The incentive card is deliberately absent from this list: its disposition is a Gate 1 ruling, and whichever way it goes the work is a fold or a switch-off, not a new asset.
The three staged win-back canvases are built and switched off; the weekly blast family is disabled (its blanket contact measured minus 11.8% on likely returners); the only live message in the territory is one unowned incentive card whose wording the record does not hold. Meanwhile about 33,000 lapsed customers a month walk back in unaided and land on a cold start that does not recognise them, through a sign-in door that sometimes expires before the code is typed.
“Show me it’s relevant to a trip I actually take, or leave me alone.”
The next behaviour we want: one look at their route at a real price, one tap back in, and a return that is recognised rather than chased.
The journey spec's step jobs; the barrier is relevance and trust after long silence.
Never we-miss-you, never guilt, never a day-count. Every comparison substantiated at fire time; the word cheaper never appears. A win-back never carries a data-capture ask. One discount decision in the whole journey, and it is gated.
We get two knocks, one door, one goodbye and one anniversary. What should each say so that coming back feels like their idea?

| 4 | The final attempt PHASE 2 · GATED Phase Phase 2, gated on the offer decision and band sizing EMAIL AND PUSH Ninety-plus days after the episode closed dormant. | NEW Nothing tells the unrecoverable tail that we have stopped. | The offer mechanics; the band gate; the post-end suppression list ships with it. The one goodbye: the best welcome-back deal, one time only, and the promise that we stop asking. |

After this, we stop asking. |
| 5 | The anniversary message PHASE 2 · GATED Phase Phase 2, on the anniversary trait EMAIL AND PUSH The anniversary of their first transaction. | NEW No anniversary beat exists anywhere in the estate. | The anniversary trait; route, paid and from-price figures. The annual beat: a year ago you upgraded this route for this much; the same trip at this year's real prices. |
▸ The job, the copy and where it livesWhere the copy lives The Live experience walkthrough, step 5The mock copy is the direction. The job to be done Keep one honest, predictable beat for the tail that hears nothing else.Once a year, exactly; suppressed in the post-end state. Copy direction, not final words One message a year, that's the deal: the copy says so. |
If it is not in this table, it is not in this round. The final attempt's offer copy waits for the offer-depth decision; the incentive card's disposition is a ruling, not an asset. ['Route-anchored always: their usual route, a from-price computed nightly, never a live lookup, never an up-to claim.', 'Push: title up to 40 characters, body up to 125, no CTA line. Email: subject up to 45 characters, ONE button.', 'Never we-miss-you, never a number of days, no urgency.', 'The comparison states walk-up against what they paid; the word cheaper never appears.']
Where the work is briefed: this tab is the ask; the handoff board section for this journey is built after Gate 1 (the pack wins where the two differ).
